Walk with Me Wayfinding Days!
When the body moves, the mind slows.
I've led a number of these Wayfinding Days over the past few years. In fact, guiding small groups in walks along the coast of Southern California is what led me to write my book, Walking & Wayfinding: Create Your Own Mindful Practice, One Step at a Time. I've watched people arrive who are cluttered and scattered, leave quieter and more peaceful. Not because anything dramatic happened. Because they walked, noticed, and paid attention long enough for something to surface.
This spring I'm opening three of these days up and inviting you to come along.
You don't need to have read the book. You don't need any experience with mindfulness or walking practices.
You just need a few hours, good shoes, and some curiosity about what happens when you slow down long enough to actually notice where you are, inside and out.
These are free. Space is limited. RSVP below.

The Story of Wayfinding Days
Wayfinding Days emerged following my DIY Pilgrimage, after my trip with my sister to walk the Camino de Santiago in Spain was cancelled in May 2020, due to COVID-19. In 2022, I decided to create my own pilgrimage, so I walked from Long Beach to Solana Beach, with a little help from the train through Camp Pendleton. My sister, my husband, and my 83 year-old father each walked one of those days with me and it was truly a wonderful experience.
The next year, I created my own solo Wayfinding Day from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach on a Sunday in February, 2023. I walked with the intention to notice and reflect and journal my way through the day. I did some of that and I mostly walked in quiet thought. As I shared the DIY Pilgrimage and Wayfinding Day with other people, many responded that they wanted to do something like these mindful & intentional walking experiences. A few years ago, I offered the first in-person Wayfinding Days and they have grown to collaborations with others to create reflection experiences that add in artistic expression or focus on other areas of wellbeing such as, Wayfinding Haiku, Wayfinding Watercolor, and Wayfinding and Wealth.
In 2024, I wrote a guide to creating your own walking practice, and it includes tips for doing a DIY Wayfinding Day. The published book, Walking & Wayfinding: Create Your Own Mindful Practice, One Step at a Time, is available in paperback and e-book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble with the audiobook available on iTunes and Audible. Or, check out an e-book copy from your local library under BiblioBoard!
I am offering Wayfinding Days again this Spring in 2026. Gentle, no-cost, low-pressure experiences to walk, reflect, and go wayfinding together. I hope you'll join me!
