Speaking

Two standalone talks. One coherent journey.

You Are Here: Learning to Read the Signs Your Longing Is Sending

An original framework for reading your longing as direction rather than a problem to fix.

Most of us have felt it: a physiological restlessness, a philosophical ache, a something-more-than-feeling that surfaces and won't quite go away. This talk introduces the Taxonomy of Longing, an original framework for reading the body's interior signals as navigational tools, the same way a walker reads the land.

Longing isn't a problem to solve. It's information. It's the part of you that has already seen the path and is waiting for the rest of you to catch up. This talk offers a way to listen to it, name it, and let it point you somewhere real.

Best for: Conferences, wellness and higher-education audiences, and anyone curious about what their longing is trying to say.

Available in 30, 45, and 60-minute formats

Something Comes from Something: Making a Life from What We've Lived

Your losses, pivots, and worn-out seasons are not obstacles to a meaningful life. They are the material.

This talk makes a quiet and deeply practical case: we always have something to create from. Every fragment carries a trace of what it was. The losses, the pivots, the worn-out seasons are not obstacles to a meaningful life. They are the material.

Part of what the material teaches is patience, and the value of doing things differently. The life I am making now is slower and more deliberate than the one I once imagined, and that turned out to be the point rather than the compromise. Doing things differently is often what lets us keep doing them at all.

The premise is simple: you build what comes next out of what you already have, including the parts you would not have chosen. Drawn from years of walking, writing, and making, this talk offers a way of seeing your own fragments as the beginning of something rather than the end.

Best for: Conferences, wellness retreats, higher education, creative and maker communities, and any room in a season of change.

Available in 30, 45, and 60-minute formats
